Gayle lived most of her life on the Bruce Peninsula. Raised at Red Bay at Wildwood Lodge, she graduated high school in Wiarton and Teachers College in Stratford. She taught Physical Education and Health at Meaford High School and coached many a team after teaching classes. Following that she had a Children's Ranch call The Diamond Sierra at Red Bay. Then 40 years ago she opened the Bruce Beckons Antique Shop ~ "A step into the past". She was even given an award from the Niagara Escarpment for her beautiful and historical place. Friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Gayle’s life from the Thomas C. Gail will be remembered for her kind gracious manner; her love of animals; and the tons of bird food she faithfully put out over the years! Such an impact she has made on this community that one woman described her as a local icon and a road has been named after her. "Beckons Lane" is a magical spot to visit. I'm sure for many years to come we will remember how she beckoned us all into the past and shared the peacefulness and history of her beautiful space!

It has been our honour to serve this family
