Cheryl Dianne Besito – of Saugeen First Nation #29, passed away peacefully at Chapman House Residential Hospice Owen Sound on Thursday September 8, 2022 at the age of 58 years. Beloved partner of Gene Petonoquot for over 35 years. Dear mother of Chris Thompson (Trisha Lavallee), and Genniene Petonoquot (Nathan Thompson), both of Saugeen First Nation #29. Cherished grandmother of Wesley Petonoquot and Sage Thompson. Devoted daughter of Lorraine (nee King) and the late Gordon Besito Sr. (1997). Proud sister of Brenda Stevens (late Stuart), Delores Besito (Caroline), Joyce Besito, Sharon John (Perry), and Gordon Besito Jr. (Mary Ann), all of Saugeen First Nation #29. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in her community. Family invite friends and relatives to gather to celebrate Cheryl’s wonderful life from the family home (6421 Hwy 21, Saugeen First Nation #29) on Monday September 12, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday at 2 o’clock. Cremation has taken place. Donations to Chapman House would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C.
